AWS Group shows SC21 EMS capabilities on SBAC stand at Farnborough Air Show

Visitors to the SBAC's (Society of British Aerospace Companies) stand at the Farnborough Air Show will be able to see the progress that the EMS company has made in embracing the Society's SC21 supply chain program. By achieving a 12 months delivery performance of above 99%, quality levels measured at 248 defects per million opportunities (DPMO), and by scoring over 500 on lean manufacturing and business excellence framework performance AWS has become the first company to be awarded Silver Award status. More the society has named AWS as the "leading supplier in the SC21 program" out of the 350 companies who have signed up to the initiative.
AWS Group includes a number of complimentary businesses that combine to address the total market for EMS services - from design through manufacture, to contract service and repair. AWS Cemgraft (Newbury) excels in surface mount technology and rapid prototyping. AWS Electronics' two sites in (Newcastle-under-Lyme and Stone) handle complex unit assembly build and have also just been awarded AS9100 for the PCB Surface Mount assembly area and cable/harness division. AWS Jantec (Bedford) specialises in repairs and service. Supporting this is a low cost production facility in Slovakia that is managed from the UK.
